Courses

We have grouped our courses into STEPS - see below for an explanation. Note though that every level is for everyone. It is about winning souls and we all have that responsibility from the moment we accept Christ.

How to choose a group. Open groups can be joined any time. "Step 2, Closed group, for 12 weeks.

STEP ONE: BEGINNING DISCIPLESHIP

Every believer begins as a spiritual infant and needs to be nurtured by more mature believers. Beginning disciples should make sure they have experienced genuine new birth in Christ and begin to acquire the disciplines that will shape the rest of their lives.

Beginning disciples are characterised sometimes by an erratic lifestyle, uncertainty about life choices, and lack of basic Christian disciplines, such as Bible reading, prayer and attending Church regularly. After all they have just begun the journey. We may have been in Church for years and still be at this point through lack of discipling. Everyone should do these courses.

STEP TWO: DEVELOPING DISCIPLESHIP

As disciples grow, they enter into an extended period of learning that lasts for a lifetime. Developing disciples are growing in their relationship to Christ and others, trying to obey all that Christ commanded.

Developing disciples are usually characterised by hunger for Bible knowledge and spiritual wisdom. Notable changes in lifestyle and have already begun to happen.

STEPS THREE & FOUR: MULTIPLYING DISCIPLESHIP (DISCIPLE MAKER) AND LEADERSHIP

Multiplying disciples find ways to express their spiritual gifts in ministry and leadership. Their faith is multiplied in the lives of people who receive their input.

Multiplying disciples are characterised by a willingness to serve, even sacrificially at times. Their reliance is upon God to take their abilities and multiply them many times over for His glory.
