From the Pastor... 

I sensed last Sunday was important for us.  It is time for breakthrough as a Church and as individuals.  I was encouraged by the words that came through and believe that if we all get behind the building fund on a regular basis, no matter the amount, then we will see the miracle that unity delivers.

 This week I want you to consider a chicken and an eagle.  The chicken pecks around with his head down and backside up, but the eagle soars.  The chicken has a limited vision, but the eagle can see for miles and is able to swoop down on his prey.

 The Bible says that “those who wait upon the Lord will rise up like eagles”.  I encourage you to begin to seek the Lord for breakthrough.  Wait on the Lord and continue to ask for the Lord Himself.  Ask Him to touch you.  Ask for the Holy Spirit because your Father in heaven will answer that prayer.  I look forward to seeing what will happen.  Don’t be a chicken.

Thursday, 27th:  The newly formed prayer group, POWer (Prayer Out West) will be at Diana’s place, E8, 52 Beach Rd, Te Atatu Pen., 10am.

Saturday, 29th May:  Support Jean Griffiths  who is raising money for herself and a carer to make a journey to her birth country of China for a reunion of her Orphanage sisters.  She is hosting a concert at Pakuranga Baptist Church from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.  Tickets $15.  Call 5255-415 or cffd@slingshot.co.nz, to book.  This will be a great afternoon, and even if you can’t make it, every ticket bought, helps.
